Buoy is a floating object anchored at a definite location to guide or warn mariners, to mark positions of submerged objects, or to moor vessels in lieu of anchoring.

DGLL maintains 11 Nos buoy in Gulf of katchchh and 10 Nos in Gulf of Khambhat for deep route channel marking and 01 Nos Isolated danger mark buoy in Andaman Sea for marking the danger in invisible bank .
